Liverpool and the Beatles Story

Friday, March 4
Well, we're back from our Scotland tour and moved into our new digs.  They aren't quite as nice as the first place, but the people that run the place are fabulous and the location is better.  And our access to wi-fi is a bit better, so maybe can catch up on the blog pretty quickly.

Our first day of travel took us to Wales, but on the way we stopped in Liverpool to visit the Beatles museum (called the Beatles Story).  It was an interesting place with a lot of info about the development of the group, and some mockups like the one right and below of the Cavern Club (one of the group's first big performance spots)

Time was a bit tight (that turned out to be true on many days) so we didn't get long in Liverpool, but got a few pics around the docks.  It was my first time to see the Atlantic Ocean while looking west from land.  Thought that was kind of cool.
